My family is originally from South Texas, but Sidney has been our home since 2013. I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Martin, for 33 wonderful years, and we have four amazing kids. Two of them got married within the last five years, so our family has grown since. I am beyond thrilled that our daughter and son-in-law made me a grandma almost two years ago, and I love spending time with our grandson!

I graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education (Emphasis in English) in May 2014. While at Sidney Middle School, I taught 8th grade English for 9 years and 8th grade Spanish for a few years. I have transitioned to Sidney High School, where I now teach 8th-12th grade Spanish.

My favorite pastimes are designing and creating shirts, tumblers, etc. with my Cricut and sublimation tools, attending car shows with my family, and tackling home improvement projects. I also volunteer as a board member for Sunrise Pregnancy Resources & Family Outreach.
